Postoperative diet

Postoperative diet

A standard postoperative diet is proposed to each patient. A patient with an adjustable band can tolerate more food-intake, since the band is not inflated at first.
However, it is useful to take on good habits from the beginning : have 4 or 5 meals, not to drink while eating, mix the ham, meat or fish. All this will be useful when the band will be inflated up to its full capacity. Here is an example:

- Morning: coffee, milk food (eg yoghourt without fruit) and a toast.
- 10 h: a half-compote
- Noon: 40g of mixed ham, 3 spoonfuls of green mixed vegetables, a glass of fruit-juice.
- 16h: a white cheese, a piece of bread.
- Evening: mashed potatoes, 20g of cheese, 60g of squeezed fruits.
